Agnese Politi

Agnese Politi (IT) is an independent curator and researcher based between the United Kingdom and Italy. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Central Saint Martins, affiliated with the Afterall Research Centre, University of the Arts London. Her research explores infrastructural critique and commoning within art institutions, attending to the interconnections between spatial, material, relational and eco-social conditions that shape how knowledge is produced, labour is organised and community-based processes are sustained. Her curatorial practice moves across urban commons, independent project spaces and cultural institutions, and is shaped by collective inquiry, feminist and anticolonial perspectives, and ongoing exchanges with networks such as L’Internationale and Arts Collaboratory. She has collaborated with Casa degli Artisti, That’s Contemporary, MUDEC – Museo delle Culture in Milan, Museum of Care, Lighthaus Zürich and the Volcanic Attitude Festival in the Aeolian Islands. She is currently an investigadora participante with the Dirección de Estudios at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, contributing to research-led processes around instituent practices and forms of local organising.
